Once I got down to one month left, it wasn't as much of a drag. Sucks in the meantime, of course, but in the long run I consider it a good thing.

And yes, I'm having a really hard time imagining Ella sitting still for any length of time at all. :) Hope your back has recovered!Wallydraiglehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06788768038088748437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777680993366017928.post-66695985852861728862009-12-30T22:27:14.866-06:002009-12-30T22:27:14.866-06:00Oh my goodness- I'm so sorry! Ella did the whole cuddly thing, too, which was the big sign to us that she wasn't feeling well. Ella wanting to sit still for more than 10 seconds?! It was fun cuddling for a few days, but then my back just couldn't take it anymore. Hauling an extra 23 pounds around the house wherever I go... ugh. I hope Grace gets better soon!Celestehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17302810687861155942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777680993366017928.post-10259366107914176092009-12-30T20:24:50.931-06:002009-12-30T20:24:50.931-06:00Aw, that must hurt a little bit for your husband. ...Aw, that must hurt a little bit for your husband. :( She's not cold to me or anything, it's just that when both of us are in the same room, she clearly prefers him. And sometimes even that hurts my feelings.

I didn't realize there was a stage for these preferences, though. That's good to hear. She's 15 months old, and this started about a month ago, I think. Mostly it's a good thing. I get a good break every evening. Weekends and vacations, though, it starts to get to me.

She was much better today, and ate like a horse at dinner. That might be because we gave her all baby food, just in case, but still... I think she's improving. And she wasn't feverish either. The house got mostly clean, and the meal was good, so I'm happy! Our friend is very laidback, so I wasn't worried too much.

I'm due March 4th, but I think that should be a week or week and a half sooner. I don't have my heart set on it, but I'm pretty sure I'm right. I can't believe there are only two months left. Oh my goodness.Wallydraiglehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06788768038088748437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777680993366017928.post-391902845711072592009-12-30T19:57:17.293-06:002009-12-30T19:57:17.293-06:00I wish my daughter would do the "all papa all...I wish my daughter would do the "all papa all the time" thing, actually. She's a bit older than yours, but she doesn't really do all that well with her Papa. He's in the military and was gone for a few months last Spring, and ever since then she's been rather cold and distant with him, doesn't want hugs or kisses, always prefers me, etc. It becomes rather exhausting.

How old is Grace, again? I actually thought she was just about the right age for the "preference for the non-primary-caregiver parent" stage, but while I remember that she's a bit younger than my oldest, I don't remember how much.

I'm glad she's sleeping so well for you, though! Awesome! Although the sick thing is a pain. Hopefully you'll be able to balance getting some cleaning done with taking care of sick baby.

When are you due, by the way? I got the impression that you were getting close-ish from your last few posts, but I don't remember if you ever gave a due date (or month).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
